Officially debuting wife Amal Alamuddin's growing baby bump, George Clooney and her barrister lady love hit the 42nd Cesar Ceremony in France to accept his career milestone award. In the middle of the celebration, the veteran actor also did not miss the opportunity to deliver a strong message encouraging everyone to not be vigilante under President Donald Trump's term.

The event which was held last Friday, had Clooney, together with her barrister wife jet set to Paris's Salle Pleyel to attend the French equivalence of the United States Academy Awards. After being honored by a montage clips of all of his works not just in the showbusiness, but also in regard to humanitarian causes, the 55-year-old was given the floor for his award acceptance speech.

"We're going to have to work harder and harder not to let hate win," the "E.R." alum reiterated. "Love Trump's hate, courage Trump's fear, and always right Trump's wrongs."

One of Hollywood's top celebrities, Clooney rallied behind 2016 Democratic Presidential Nominee, Hillary Clinton, who Trump beat in November's election via an upset. But while he, alongside the majority of Tinseltown, failed in putting the former First Lady in the Oval Office, he remains vocal and involved in the current political climate of the United States.

"The actions of this president have caused alarm and dismay amongst our allies abroad and given considerable comfort to our enemies. . . . And whose fault is that?" Clooney asked, referring to Trump and his highly scrutinized administration. "Not really his. He didn't create this situation of fear, he merely exploited it, and rather successfully."

Clooney's speech, however, was not entirely political. The actor also loosened up by delivering a sweet shoutout to his wife, who dazzled in a white floor-length number by the Italian brand, Versace. The Kentucky-native, who married the world renown human rights lawyer in a lavish destination wedding in Venice back in 2014 gushed about how excited he is with the upcoming birth of his twins.

Just a couple of days before the French big event, the "Golden Globe Award" winner sat down for a couple of press people where he opened up about his upcoming role a first-time father. He revealed plans to slow down in terms of his and his expecting wife's respective work explaining that they want to be more mindful given the pregnancy.
