A woman has died on an American Airlines flight from Brazil to Northern Texas, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing in Houston.

A 25-year-old woman died on American Airlines Flight 962 on Wednesday. The Boeing 777 with 220 passengers was supposed to land at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, but it was diverted to George Bush Intercontinental Airport early Wednesday morning after the woman passed away on board, the Associated Press reports.

It is not clear how the woman died but there were no signs of trauma on her body.  Her body was taken to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to be examined. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

American released a statement, saying "American Airlines flight 962 today from Sao Paolo (GRU) to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) diverted to Houston (IAH) because of a medical emergency. We can't provide any information about the ill passenger, but we can provide details about the flight. AA962 departed GRU at 1:12 a.m. and diverted to IAH at 6:34 a.m. It left IAH at 9:05 a.m. and landed at DFW at 10:25 a.m. It was a Boeing 777 with 220 passengers and a crew of 14."

The 220 passengers and the 14 crew members on board were able to continue their flight to Dallas-Fort Worth three hours after the plane landed in Houston.

This isn't the first time someone died while on a plane. In November, a Emirates Airline flight from Dubai to England made an emergency landing in Poland when another woman died on a flight. In September, a 64-year-old woman died on a Korean Air flight. In June, a man died on a flight from Amsterdam to Tazmania. His body was covered and laid across three seats, but passengers still had to sit near the body for the duration of the flight.
