While "Crash Bandicoot" was originally a PlayStation exclusive in its early days and only later explored other platforms in the following years, the latest upcoming remaster "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" will be a timed exclusive for Sony's console, specifically the PlayStation 4.

While it already appears to some that "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" is really intended to be PlayStation 4 exclusive, there was still hope for some to see the game gracing the Xbox One. This is on top of the fact that it was already announced as an exclusive title for the PlayStation back in the E3 event last year (via IGN.) However, as PlayStation Lifestyle reported, the hoped sparked when Activision got involved in the development.

However, this hope will come with a bit of waiting when a recent tweet response from PlayStation Ireland outright stated that "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" is going to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive title initially and a few days after, made a follow up that "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" will be releasing on the PlayStation 4 variants first.

When a fan named David Burke asked about the game's availability, the official PlayStation Ireland twitter account simply replied: "Hi David, this will be a PS4 exclusive." However, the initial press release of the game being exclusive to the PlayStation 4 could still be a bit plausible, especially when the fact that the tweet from an official PlayStation account has been deleted. The latest tweet, however, states that the game will be out on other platforms, but until further notice.

To give the Xbox some credit, a number of "Crash Bandicoot" games were also released for it, namely "Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex," Crash: Mind Over Mutant," and "Crash of the Titans." Mind Over Mutant was one of the cross-platform "Crash" game that Activision had its first involvement, which makes it possible for the publisher to bring the upcoming remaster to the Xbox One just as well.
