Celine Dion: How The Singer And Her Sons Get By A Year From Husband's Death

It's been over a year since Celine Dion lost her husband, the late musical producer Rene Angelil. The singer hasn't really talked much about losing the love of her life for a year, prior to husband's death. But now she is more than ready to open up a bit more in depth about how she and her children cope a year without their patriarch. 

"I feel stronger", is the only statement the singer can say when Entertainment ask her how she has been dealing with her husband's death. The singer added she sees the turning event of her life to step forward and take on new projects. 

On the launching of her new line of accessories in Las Vegas, the mother of three was asked by Extra how "dressing up" and "looking good" help her recover through the year. "My husband gave me tools for the rest of my life, he gave me the rest of himself", the Canadian native revealed.

Moreover, the "My Heart Will Go On" songstress said she has wonderful kids whom she sees the face of her late husband. She is proud of how her children dealt with their father's sickness through the years. "They cope with the loss of their dad very well", the singer added

However, the "Falling Into You" alum said she doesn't hanker on his eldest son to be the "man of the house". "I said to him...you have your own dreams and he is always with you in your heart, and I am here for you", Dion proclaimed.

Meanwhile, Dion, also a businesswoman, is launching her brand "Celine Dion Collection" which includes a selection of bag, luggage, and accessories in a collaboration with the Bugatti Group. The singer admits that though the project wasn't really something she discussed with her husband in the past she is confident that her deceased spouse will always be with her in everything that she does.

Rene Angelil, a Canadian musical producer, and Celine Dion's former talent manager died battling cancer in January of 2016. Speaking to Paris Match magazine, Dion revealed "Rene wanted to die in my arms but, alas, I was singing that night. He must have wanted to get up and he fell on the floor".
