After a series of leaks and rumors appeared online, Huawei Honor 8 has been finally launched in China. So what to expect on the latest Huawei device?

Before it was reported that Huawei Honor 8 Lite has been launched in China, the latest device has been rumored that it is an affordable smartphone, however, there are no dual rear cameras. These rumors have been confirmed as India Today reported that Honor 8 Lite ditched the dual rear cameras.

Despite ditching its big brother's dual rear cameras, Honor 8 Lite comes with Kirin 655 octa-core processor. When it comes to design, the device sports metal, and glass, with a fingerprint sensor on the back. Meanwhile, its power and volume button are located on the right. The Huawei branding can be seen on the front and back.

According to the source, the new device comes with 2.5D 5.2-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920x1080. When it comes to memory storage, it has 3/4GB of RAM, 32/64 GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card and it has 3,000mAh nonremovable battery.

Other specs include 12MP, f/2.2 optics, Full HD video, and LED flash. The device runs  Android 7.0 Nougat (EMUI 5.0) and weighs 147g, according to Slash Gear.

When it comes to connectivity, the device comes with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), and Bluetooth v4.2. Other features are a fingerprint scanner, microUSB 2.0, and headphone jack.

Honor 8 Lite comes with three variants: 3GB of RAM and 32GB,  GB of RAM and 32GB, 4GB of RAM and 64GB. The first one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage costs ¥1099 or $159.76.

The mid-range model, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage costs ¥1399 Yuan or $203.37. The top of the line version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage costs ¥1599 or $232.44.
