After choosing to be reticent about the notorious divorce, Angelina Jolie breaks her silence for the very first time and speaks about the marriage divorce from Brad Pitt. The actress revealed details about the "very difficult time" she and her family braved since the breakup.

Dubbed as the "match made in heaven", the Brangelina couple made headlines when the actress filed for divorce from his husband of ten years in September 2016 for their "irreconcilable differences". Both of the sides refused to comment about the split up which lead to much more speculations on tabloids about the mainspring of their breakup.

Following their divorce news, rumors about infidelity on Brad Pitt's part surfaced the news. The "Hollywood Golden Boy" was reported to be having an affair with her co-star Marion Cotillard while filming "Allied" in London. He was also rumored to be mingling with "Russian Hookers". In fact, Angelina Jolie was divulged to hire a private eye to monitor his husband while on the set, according to Page Six. While several other reports claim the two having not common grounds on raising their kids is the sole reason of the marriage dispersal.

Both sides never really acknowledged any of the rumors and speculations, rather, both Pitt and Jolie chose to stay silent about the issue. Not until Angelina Jolie, sat down with BBC in Cambodia and was asked to open up about the high-profile breakup. The exclusive interview was done in part of promoting Angelina Jolie's upcoming movie "First They Killed My Father" which Jolie has been cast to direct and co-write.

"It was very difficult," Jolie said when asked about her recent breakup.Though the actress refused to comment further on the divorce, she said her sole focus at the moment is being a mother to her six children.  "Many people find themselves in this situation. My whole family has all been through a difficult time. My focus is my children, our children", the actress said.

Jolie and Pitt first met on the set of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" in 2003 where they both starred as the main cast. Pitt was currently in a relationship with Jennifer Anniston when rumor affairs about Jolie and Pitt suffused the news. They did not publicly comment about their "relationship" until Anniston filed a divorce from Pitt. Since then Pitt and Jolie were spotted and photographed together on their several vacations. They finally tied the knot in August 2014.

Jolie and Pit shares three biological children, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne and also three legally adopted children, Maddox, Pax and Zahara, all in diverse ethnicity. The 49-year-old actress, also a human activist, claims that though separated from the "Troy" star, they are a "family" and will be" forever " one.
