The famous "Hacksaw Ridge" director, Mel Gibson, sells one of his homes in California for $2.1 million recently. Many considers it a property loss for him however, blessings had been pouring out for this guy as he has been also eyed to direct the new movie sequel "Suicide Squad" soon.

Apparently, Gibson has sold his house in Sherman Oaks, California and sold it for a big price of $2.1 million. The house was known of having a Frank Lloyd Wright kind of architecture. The actor-director who is now 61 years old took a modest loss of one of his properties which was known that he also bought it for $2.4 million in 2009. As per property records of Gibson, he bought the house under a trust with Vicki Lynn Christianson, who happened to be the COO of Gibson's production company as a trustee, Mansion Global reported.

As per record, the buyer hasn't yet appeared in the online property records. The house Gibson bought was built in 2006 which already had complete amenities. The house also had a flagstone courtyard and a fountain, as well as with skylights and Viking appliances.

Meanwhile, setting property aside, Gibson has also been eyed to direct the upcoming "Suicide Squad" sequel. This will be the fourth sequel of the popular film. He has been included on the shortlist to direct this Warner Bros / DC franchise after having been nominated as Oscar best director of "Hacksaw Ridge" at the Venice Film Festival, Gulf News reported.

Warner Bros for the meantime are now in talks to have Gibson to take over David Ayer who was said to be directing the film first. This upcoming sequel is also set to star Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Jared Leto as bunch of bad ass who will be forced into a government service. Meanwhile, Gibson will now start familiarizing the material of the movie as well as with the casting.
