Mayan Apocalypse Parties in New York: Celebrating Doomsday

With all the hullabaloo about the Mayan apocalypse on Dec. 21 and the world ending on Friday, New York City will definitely have its last night on earth be a fun one. Lots of New York bars and clubs are hosting doomsday parties.

Here's al list of some of the best:

Manhattan

Bowery Hotel

With the Bowery Hotel's End of the World Party party-goers can imbibe in free specialty cocktails from 7 to 8 p.m. Comedian's Seth Herzog and Mario the Magician will be there for entertainment as well as Old 97's Rhett Miller.

Gansevoort Park Hotel

The Gansevoort rooftop will host DJ Lexey and DJ Kalkutta will be spinning from 7-11 for an End-of-the World party.

20 Park Avenue South Manhattan, NY

Hudson Terrace

iAdventure.com is hosting an End of the World Party featuring DJ Lulo and Bones a day before doomsday.

Dec. 20, 11 p.m.; $30. 621 W. 46 St., between 11th & 12th Aves

Webster Hall

Webster Hall will host an end of the world shindig featuring DJ Jess and Matty Glitterati including burlesque and go-go dancers. The ballroom upstairs will host electronic acts for their Countdown to Oblivian concert.

Brooklyn

Union Hall

With an Afterlife Comedy Show, Emily Heller and Josh Goldenmal will host the standup acts.

Nights and Weekends

The Greenpoint bar will have specialty Frozen Zombie cocktails for $10 and with DJ Mama Dom. The party starts at 9 p.m.
