No Kanye West hit the stage after his Yeezy models filed off the aisle for the final walk on New York Fashion Week. Kim Kardashian unexpectedly rose from the front row audience and did the traditional bow in replace of her husband.

The West-Kardashian family is having rough months lately. From Kim Kardashian's Paris assault to Kanye West getting booed at his own concert for previously endorsing Donald Trump, West was also diagnosed with temporary psychosis.

Nonetheless, Kanye West still managed to launch the fifth season of his Yeezy Fall show. The big event was held on Piers 59 in the Big Apple on Wednesday. For some reasons, the rapper-turned-designer prohibited social media posts for the duration the show. But some attendees including her wife Kim Kardashian did not comply with the advisory and live post the event.

The much-anticipated fashion show broke from the original 5 PM time slot and was rescheduled 3 PM the same day. The event lasted for about 15 minutes. Much to audience surprise, it was Kim Kardashian who marked the end of the show. TMZ reported West "was most likely just watching from backstage". This is a far cry from Kanye West's traditional final walk with the models on the runaway as a designer.

The 39-year-old rapper kept a low profile since he was hospitalized for his psychosis. Although her reality TV star wife has been slowly returning to the public eye after her Paris assault, Kanye West been more under the radar. Perhaps this might be the reason why the father of two chose to stay out of the limelight.

Among the notable celebrities who attended the Yeezy show were Kylie Jenner and his boyfriend Tyga and model Hailee Baldwin. Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner who were present on previous seasons were noticeably a no-show. According to The Washington Post, a possible reason to West's family's absence is due to the invitations sent just 2 hours prior to the event.

Overall the Yeezy fashion show was a successful event. It features his latest collection in collaboration with Adidas. West's sister-in-law Kendall Jenner who modeled for the previous season did not partake in the event. The supermodel was walking in another New York Fashion Week runway. This is contrary to speculations that Jenner wasn't attending because of the Puma deal controversy.
