"Scum's Wish" is getting several complaints about the anime's content. An ethics committee in Japan filed the complaints, and one of the issues is in line with a "sensitive" scene of the anime television series.

According to Anime News Network, "Scum's Wish" is based on a manga, and it is a story about Hanabi and Mugi who are super sweet, and seems to be a perfect couple. People who know them envy them, but what these people don't know is that Hanabi and Mugi have a not-so-pure secret.

The Broadcasting Ethics and Program Improvement Organization (BPO) is a watchdog group based in Japan, and the group is dedicated in making Japanese broadcasting family-friendly and ensures that proper rules in broadcasting etiquette are followed. Now, BPO has released a statement which summarizes the concerns that they have received.

Some of the complaints said that the anime is highlighting sensitive topics such as bullying, violence, pedophilia and sexual expression. Although there were no actual titles mentioned, but fans suggest that one of the issues is about "Scum's Wish." According to the complaint, "there was an extreme kiss scene of a high school student character on an animation program. Although it was in the late-night time zone, it is not content to be broadcast on the terrestrial wave anyone can easily view."

According to IGN, "Scum's Wish" uses its supporting characters for interesting commentary on femininity, gender roles, and sexual identity. The website added that the series tackles sex and sexuality in high school with as much tact. But some people clearly don't agree.

"Scum's Wish" is described by others as a disturbing but empathetic drama about how teenagers use others and are used. The kissing scene mentioned previously was deemed to be very vulgar by many, and it was even accompanied by indecent fondling. "Scum's Wish" premiered last month, and is still currently airing. The series is now on its fourth episode.
