This year's Grammys had Beyoncé and Adele on a face off as the notable singers are nominated for the Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year. Queen Bey has nine nominations for her album Lemonade, while the "Hello" singer comes next with five for her album 25. (Click here for the complete list of nominees.)

The 59th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The event starts at 8:00 p.m., with live streaming available via CBS. According to a report from Time, James Corden of "Carpool Karaoke" is set to host, replacing L.L. Cool J who had been hosting the event for the last five years.

Performers to watch out for include Adele, Bruno Mars, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, The Weeknd, Katy Perry, John Legend, among others. Although Bey's camp is yet to issue a confirmation of her performance at the much-anticipated event after she announced her pregnancy, a report from Entertainment Tonight stated that the diva was spotted rehearsing last Thursday in a secured location in Los Angeles.

On a different note, one of the frequently asked questions is "Will Kanye be there?" The rapper has stirred controversies in various award-giving events. In 2015, Kanye West went on stage as Beck receives his award for Album of the Year. He famously retorted, "Beck needs to respect artistry and he should've given his award to Beyoncé." Although the 2016 Grammys was Kanye-free, Taylor Swift used her acceptance speech to make a swipe at the rapper for his distasteful remarks toward her in his song "Famous": "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. / Why? I made that (expletive) famous."

The same report from Time speculated that Kanye, along with Justin Bieber and Drake, may not be able to attend this year's Grammys. Drake will be in the UK for his concert, while Bieber is making a stand by ditching the occasion. As for Kanye, he promised in October 2016 that he will not be present at the next Grammys should Frank Ocean will be ignored.
