The Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge will attend the annual BAFTAs 2017 next month. Kate Middleton, Prince William, the royal couple is set to be in the British Academy Film Awards which will be held at Kensington Palace as it was announced on Friday.

William has been of service to BAFTA being the president since 2010 and together with Middleton; they will walk in red carpet at London's Royal Albert Hall. The duke will also present the BAFTA fellowship and the academy's Lifetime Achievement Award on that day.

As per Variety, the duke and duchess had been fantastic supporters of the academy awards and as such the chief executive of BAFTA really looked forward on welcoming the royal highnesses on that big event. The announcement last Friday however was followed by a published story at British tabloid telling that Middleton is unwelcomed at the BAFTA. However, they shut down what has been written and claimed the article being non-sense.

Meanwhile, there will be Hollywood stars who will be receiving the awards. These include Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling for the recently concluded movie "La La Land" which precisely has most number of nominees. Other nominated actors are Amy Adams for "Arrival", Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams for "Manchester of the Sea", Hugh Grant and Meryl Steep for "Florence Foster Jenkins" and others, E Online reported.

Prince Harry will also be joining the royal highnesses in attending the BAFTA and for several years, they had crossed paths with Hollywood stars. Harry is also currently dating "Suits" actress Meghan Markle. During the couple's first US tour in 2011, they chatted into several celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson, Barbara Streisand and husband James Brolin and it was also during the star-studded BAFTA event in Los Angeles.
