"Yandere Simulator" has remained banned from Twitch for a year now. It is still a mystery why that is. Twitch has remained silent on the reason for the ban on the indie game.  The developer of "Yandere Simulator" said that the video game streaming service has still not offered him any explanation.

"Yandere Simulator" is an obscure stealth/action game about a sociopathic high school girl who eliminates her classmates and rivals through various means.  The developer of the game has demanded answers from Twitch regarding the ban.

According to gaming website Kotaku, he has spent a year begging the streaming site for an explanation with no results.  A few days ago he posted a YouTube video describing his fruitless year of looking for answers.

Entertainment website CraveOnline reported that the game has earned the unique honor of being included on a small list of games that Twitch has banned.  Only 38 games are banned on Twitch.  They include Adults Only games like "Hatred" and "Manhunt 2: Uncut", very offensive games such as "RapeLa"y as well as several other types.

Streamers can be banned as well if they are caught streaming the banned games.  The game's developer is still very much in the dark as to why his game was included with all the other unpleasant games.

Twitch has steadfastly refused to respond to the developer's request for answers regarding the ban on the game. This has led to more questions and speculation on the reason for the inclusion of the game on the banned list.

The game has an anime art style and features characters in their teens who are sometimes shown naked with the naughty parts obscured.  A notice within the game emphasizes that all characters depicted are 18 or older even if otherwise specified.

In the video he posted on YouTube describing his issues with Twitch, the developer makes a point that possible objectionable features within the game are already present in other games that have not been banned such as "Grand Theft Auto V" and "South Park: The Stick of Truth."  He also points out that if Twitch had communicated with him on the reasons for the ban, he could at least have the chance to modify "Yandere Simulator" to comply with the guidelines of the streaming service.
