The first screenshots of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" on the Nintendo Switch has materialized. The screenshots of the game running on the Switch appeared on Nintendo's website.

Fans of the anime-based fighting game can find out how it looks like running on the Nintendo console. The "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" pages on the official Japanese website of Nintendo were updated by the company. The updates added official screenshots which provide a preview of how the game renders on the hybrid console.

According to the gaming website WWG, the game looks good. Brief portions of its gameplay could be seen in video clips displayed late in the presentation of the Nintendo Switch.

WWG reported that the console handles the cel-shaded appearance well. The anime style of the game results in it being less detailed than engines and designs that aim for a more realistic look.

This means that the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" should perform well on the upcoming console. This also means that game should look as good in portable mode as well as on a television screen.

WWG mentioned that if the screenshots are indicative of how the final retail version of the game will look like then there is little discernible difference between the graphic quality of the Switch version of the game and the PS4 version. Everything looks sharp with the character models appearing to have no loss on details compared to those on the PS4.

The only possible difference between the versions of the two consoles is that the environmental details and draw distances would be downgraded on Nintendo's console. It is also possible that the game could run at 30 fps instead of 60 fps but that would be an acceptible trade off for most people with the option to go portable with "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" on the Nintendo Switch.
