Nokia is making a comeback with new phones in 2017. It may seem that their new phones will reuse existing phone designs.

The first rumors about Nokia's devices are now appearing after they announced that 2017 would mark their big comeback. Still to be revealed in the next few months or so, their new phones will include their most prominent model, the P1. The origins of the P1 is still not known so any reports regarding it could be just hearsay or wishful thinking.

According to technology website Digital Trends, a Russian website published leaked details that is claimed to be about the Nokia P1. It does not however reveal the source of the information so this news must be approached with caution. Apparently, the details of the phone closely match those of the Sharp Aquos Xx3 which is a Japanese device known as the Aquos P1 in Taiwan.

The Sharp phone seems to have very similar specifications to the Nokia P1 based on the leaked data. There are slight differences which can be attributed to improvements and upgrades to the existing phone design.

New Delhi Television reports that the Nokia P1 will supposedely have a 5.3-inch full-HD or QHD resolution Sharp screen covered in Gorilla Glass 5 with IGZO technology, Zeiss-certified 22.6-megapixel rear camera, fingerprint sensor, and IP55/58 water resistance. These specifications can also be found on the Aquos Xx3/Aquos P1.

The Nokia P1 is claimed to have 6GB memory and a choice of 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. It reportedly will run on Android 7.0 Nougat and a Snapdragon 835 SoC and have a 3,500mAh battery, MicroSD card slot, selfie cam, and standard connectivity features. The phone is reported to cost between $800 and $950 depending on the model.
