Ever since the first "Star Wars" film premiered back in 1977, pop culture was forever changed and fans have been treated to so many iconic moments from the critically acclaimed sci-fi franchise. While there are many memorable scenes from all of the "Star Wars", perhaps none are as iconic as the one from "Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back" where Darth Vader finally reveals to Luke Skywalker that he is his father.

So what could possibly make this whole scene much better and more memorable than it already is? The answer is cats. A Youtube user going by the name Pasdidée recently uploaded a video featuring two housecats recreating the famous scene. The video has been aptly titled "The Empire Scratches Back" and has more than 266,000 views as of this writing.

The user shot the remake in split-screen form so viewers can compare how accurately it portrays the original version. What's even more amazing is the two cats seemingly expressed their emotions as well as anyone can expect. Even the props that he used to recreate the scene are all spot-on. A cat scratching post serves as the pole that Luke hangs on to during his dramatic conversation with the man he would later find out is his father.

The two fur babies receive some assistance from their owner who holds up the black cat's paw to stimulate Darth Vader shaking his fist in one of the sequences. Even though the props used to recreate the scene are simple items you can find around your house, viewers should still give the uploader the credit he or she deserves.

Anyone who can get their cats to portray two of cinema's most popular characters definitely deserves to be given some views and "likes" on YouTube. As per CNET, anyone who has ever tried to get a couple of cats to perform on demand should appreciate all of the effort Pasdidee put in to recreating the scene.
