Lexus has finally revealed a new racing version of RC F coupe, the Lexus GT3 or RC F GT3. They had started to unveil this last year, but the car is now ready to burn the wheel in the racing arena. It is based on the company's gorgeous coupe design which concept was made and studied for more than three years ago.

The GT3 will have its first competition this year. It will be participating two different races on the opposite sides of the world. It has been discussed by Lexus that it will hit the race in US-based IMSA Weather Tech SportsCar Championship. They also had announced on Friday that it will also participate in the Super GT series which will be in the home country of Lexus in Japan, Digital Trends reported.

In the upcoming race, the RC F GT3 series will be competing together with its brother, LC 500. It has crazy-looking bodyworks and it looks like in a Japanese anime series. It has been using 5.0 liter V8 which is tuned to provide over 500 horsepower. Such power will be sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox.

The GT3 was derived from the Lexus RC F coupe that was first introduced in 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The development of the concept was focused on meeting the racing standards of Group GT3 International. After more than years of design revisions, it is now ready to bring the coupe on the track and prove the racing world that it is capable of competing with the best, 4Wheels News reported.

This new couple will immediately be put into paces by the end of the month at the 24 hours of Daytona endurance race on January 26 - 29. These cars will be driven by the 3GT racing team and it doesn't limit its participation in US and Japan alone.
