"Dumbo" live-action remake is now on the talks and might include popular actors on the planned Disney movie adaptation. The movie "Dumbo" has long been waited by the Disney fans and finally it is now showing signs of pushing through.

On the upcoming remake of the movie, two actors are expected to take the roles. Tom Hanks and Will Smith are both eyed to play the antagonist and the protagonist in the movie. The film is expected to be a combination of live action and animation as it will also continue Disney's project of re-imagining the animated films into a live-action genre, Paste Magazine reported.

Further, the team is waiting for Smith to accept the role since it would likely have a significant effect on the future of the upcoming sequel "Bad Boys" where he is also shooting. Accepting "Dumbo" would push back the film that he is currently shooting with.

If the deal will be closed, Smith will be playing a father to children who will develop friendship with the lovable elephant after he sees it into a circus. On the other hand, Tom Hanks has also been offered with a role as the villain, but might as well choose to star on another movie that he has a role with, the "World War II" drama, Variety reported.

In this upcoming live-action remake, the story is expected to feature a baby elephant in the circus. It is through the help of the mouse where the baby circus elephant will be able to use or perform his full potential. Thus, viewers should expect animation and action in the storyline.

Disney has given much emphasis on recreating live-action films after the success of "Maleficient" and "Cinderella". Further, "Beauty and the Beast" is already among the anticipated movie for this year. Tim Burton emphasized that viewers should not expect a much trained Dumbo as it was in the original film in the upcoming remake.
