They haven't said yet that "Scream Queens Season 3" will be renewed. However, they have told the press that they are happy with the show and its performance over the viewers.

Madden also emphasized that they are considering the renewal of the show for the third season but it is still early to say it for now. According to him, it is not the ratings that will tell the whole story whether it will be aired again on Fox.

Newman also added that just like any other shows, they had not decided yet on re-airing it on the channel until later this year. On the other hand, Fox executives would love seeing these shows to hit big numbers as well.

Further, Ryan Murphy's strong bond with Fox could possibly give "Scream Queens" Season 3 an edge to have its third season be aired. The first and second season of the show had featured a different storyline and which closed the final episode on its 1.38 million viewers over the night and 0.5 ratings coveted on advertiser demographics.

As per Deadline, entertainment President Madden will always acknowledge the show's ratings, its solid multi-platform performance, and the impact it reaches the elusive young viewers as factors for its decision to renew the show.
