"Rick and Morty" season 3 is expected to air on January 9, 2017. Because of that, a lot of viewers were anticipating that the show which had ended in 2016 will have to continue this month, but it didn't happen.

The show's co-creator and executive producer, Justin Roiland discredited all rumors that he was sure enough of its airing on January 9 through his Twitter post. True enough, the day arrived and there was no new episode aired about "Rick and Morty" new season.

With no confirmed dates as to when it will be airing, there were still lots of fans and viewers who analysed the sneak peak being released recently in the Development Meeting together with Adult Swim. Further, they had also released a video game inspired de-make of the show. It has a jaggy charm and great animations of the recent retro games. The short clip released by Adult Swim creates many of the best and funny moments of the show, AV Club reported.

Viewers were having big expectations that the upcoming season will be aired last year but the team revealed that they were still unable to finish the episode. Thus, there is still no way for them this time to finish the third season.

On the other hand, sexy sneak peeks were also released which featured Rick being imprisoned. As per Tripped Media, at the end of season 2, Rick turned himself over to authorities in order for the Galactic Federation will stop hunting them down and his family members. It leaves us into curiosity on how Rick will have to manage an escape from a security prison and on how well he will have to treat his family from here on.

Meanwhile, no release date was officially announced yet, and however, speculations are telling that this could possibly air this March. Fans are also hoping that Adult Swim will finally give them the specific date.
