While it means great PR to host famous celebrities, some hotels would prefer to just say no to the opportunity.  Apparently, some popular personalities cause a whole lot of chaos that they are banned from some top hotels.

Travel + Leisure said that some hotels end up turning their famous guests away, and even ban them for bad behavior. In the early 2000s, John Travolta was reportedly banned from New York City's Peninsula Hotel for repeated "inappropriate behavior" at the hotel's spa.  Male employees complained about Travolta's alleged "creepy" antics during massages.

Actor Charlie Sheen is said to be banned from New York City's Plaza Hotel for life when he caused about $20,000 in damages in 2010 after he smashed his hotel room's mirrors, TV, and furniture, Yahoo Style reported. Other Manhattan hotels like the Waldorf-Astoria and the Trump SoHo have also supposedly refused to book Sheen.

People would think that being a hotel heiress would make Paris Hilton be welcomed in any hotel that she goes to. Apparently not. The Wynn and Encore banned the socialite, and she even faced criminal charges.  She and her then boyfriend - who was also a manager at two of the resort's nightclubs - underwent a traffic stop which culminated when Hilton reached for lip balm in her purse, and a bag of cocaine fell out instead.

She pleaded guilty to drug possession and obstructing an officer, and served a year of probation, as well as paying a $2,000 fine and serving 200 hours of community service.  Wynn reportedly reinstated Hilton by the end of 2011.

Britney Spears bad table manners is said to be the reason why she was reportedly banned from legendary Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.  According to reports, she was smearing her dinner on her face, inspiring several complaints from other guests.

Former child stars, Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes have troubled pasts, and Hollywood's Standard Hotel is a witness.  Bynes was allegedly banned from the hotel's nightclub, Smoke & Mirrors.  She arrived just hours after she'd been arrested, and then released, on suspicion of a DUI.

Meanwhile, Lohan reportedly got into a fight with another patron at Smoke & Mirrors, after which Lohan reportedly banned herself from the hotel, declaring it "a curse" for her.  This happened just days after the Bynes incident.
