The annual show of Hi-Rez Studios to showcase its games in front of fans and the general public is taking place. Smite's next wave of major changes was announced by developer Hi-Rez at the Hi-Rez Expo or HRX in Atlanta. The Celtic pantheon, map updates, voice chat and more were included in the Season 4 update of Smite.

The reveal of The Morrigan was the best news to come out of the Expo as she is one the coolest gods of Smite yet. According to gaming website PC Gamer, she is a mobile mage who is the first champion to be added to Smite's newly introduced pantheon of gods, the Celts.

The Morrigan is sneaky and manipulative. One of her abilities is she can create a decoy of herself. She also has a crazy ultimate ability.

For a brief period, she can transform into any god in play that she chooses. In the process she gains the other god's ultimate and abilities for a short time. This means that if she is playing in a match with any god, she can use that god's ultimate.

She can duplicate any god's abilitites whether they are friend or foe. With her powers, she is going to be terrifying. In the right hands, she should make a big impact.

The Smite World Championship will crown a champion at HRX 2017 this weekend. Gaming website Kotaku reported that HRX has grown into a fan convention that revolves around the esports grand finals after starting out as an annual Smite World Championships. The championship will be up for grabs in the god-based action MOBA on both the console and PC as teams for around the world vie for the title.

The Season 4 update, aside from the addition of the Celtic gods, brought updates to gods and items, reworked relics, and a new form of consumable called rituals that is expensive but powerful. There are also updates to maps and features that affect match competitions for Smite.
