Sony had a good run in 2017, but the PlayStation 4 wasn't done as 2017 bears more exclusives, especially for fans who have been long-time JRPG fanatics. Here are some of the best JRPG games worth demanding a switch from the Xbox One or the PC.

As similarly shown at Game Idealist in its recent post, topping this list is "Persona 5" and this game as apparently one of the bigger reason to switch over or get a PlayStation 4. A PlayStation 3 version is also scheduled alongside the current-gen console, but besides the graphical quality, the same experience can be expected.

Another game to watch out for is the "Dark Souls" inspired title called "NI-OH." While it isn't exactly a JRPG by the looks of it and the fact that it strongly borrows a lot of core elements from the western-styled rpg "Dark Souls," it still has a number of JRPG elements that makes it unique and not just a another ripoff.

In a recent post from VG24/7 also shows "Tales of Berseria." The game would be the latest main game entry in the "Tales" series from Bandai Namco. While the prior title "Tales of Zestiria" reached the PC platform, but it roughly took a year to happen. "Tales of Berseria" is a direct prequel from the storyline of "Tales of Zestiria," and puts the players in the shoes of "Velvet."

Finally, there's "Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom." The game's development spanned quite a number of years and stayed as a PlayStation exclusive. It was originally intended to be released on the PlayStation 3, but a number of delays pushed it back and warranted an even bigger release on the PlayStation 4 and finally be scheduled for a 2017 release. This was after the reveal at last year's PlayStation Experience event.
