Call of Duty fans have their hands full as three Call of Duty games have continued receiving updates. Updates for the three games in the COD series encourage players to stay active in the game. Activision also seems to have its hands full in producing the new content for players.

According to the newspaper Daily Express, Infinite Warfare, Modern Warfare Remastered and Black Ops 3 were provided new updates over the holiday season. The release of new updates show the confidence that Activision has that there are still a significant amount of players who will be glad that new content is available.

With the abundant number of players still actively playing the game, many of them were impacted when Activision multiplayer servers for all three Call of Duty games, experienced issues on January 1. Gaming website Attack of the Fanboy reported that players on both the PS4 and Xbox One were affected.

Online play for all three COD games were inaccessible. The newspaper Daily Express mentioned that players on both consoles received an error message when they tried to play online.

There was a large number of complaints posted on social media about being unable to play online. Before the issue started, the COD help desk posted on Twitter that their team would be unavailable for a couple of hours. Activision later however tweeted that they were aware of the issue.

In the tweet, the company said that they know about the situation with people not being able to connect to Call of Duty servers. They stressed that they were investigating the issue. It took more than half a day but everyone was eventually able to connect after updating their games.

The patch update to fix connectivity issues came after the holiday season content update for all three COD games. The content update for Infinite Warfare provided new items and bonuses.

Modern Warfare Remastered received six new maps and two new game modes. Call of Duty Black Ops 3 received bonuses as well.
