There is no better way to celebrate an OBE award than to go on a vacation in an island paradise with family. The Beckhams celebrated the New Year by beach partying in Maldives.

To prove that 2016 is Victoria Beckham's year, she won an OBE in the Queen's New Year honours for services to the fashion industry.  According to Sky News, the 42-year-old former Spice Girls member was "delighted and humbled for the recognition", which came 13 years after her husband David received the same recognition.

David Beckham is one proud husband and father, apparently.  He shared sweet photos of his family's recent vacation, and it's obvious his family is having a grand time enjoying their glamorous party.

The youngest Beckham son, Cruz, recently launched a singing career with a single titled "If Every Day was Christmas".  "This is how we started 2017!" is what the ex-football player captioned a video showing Cruz performing confidently to a dancing crowd in their Maldives party, Daily Mail reported.

The Beckhams were joined in by celebrity pals Gordon and Tana Ramsay and their children.  The popular family recently said that they are going to stay in their home for the holidays, but they apparently decided to just spend quality time together with the Ramsays.

Meanwhile, Victoria's OBE award sparked some controversy.  The fashion designer has been accused of "a betrayal of etiquette" when she revealed that she is to receive the award in the New Year Honours list.  She was reported to have told her family that she is recognized for her fashion empire and charity work with the United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS.

Tory MP Peter Bone commented that he does not understand why anyone would "leak something like that."  "To get an honour is extremely important and it might well be for a very good reason but you just don't leak it. Full stop," Bone said.  He also added that nominees are sworn to secrecy, and it would appear to be a "breach of protocol" which may raise questions over Victoria's "suitability that she has leaked her own nomination."
