Greece's unique experiences are culture-based and not truly experience-based. Culture-based travel to famous Greek historic sites and museums and less on beaches and physical activities in vacation spots make Greece a hot vacation spot for Americans interested in its history -- and these visitors only visit once.

According to Marketing Greece Chief Iossif Parsalis, to create gains for Greek tourism, the focus should shift from history to a more personal tour of Greece showcasing the "unique experiences" the country offers to vacationers worldwide -- such as what Eco hotels and a focus on luxury tourism could bring.

According to Thema News, Iossif Parsalis believes that Greek tourism should steer away from the common museum and heritage tourism and focus more on the "natural and biological products" that "offer the ideal environment" for helping people relax and specifically detoxify "from people's digital dependence." This could mean bad news to internet-savvy tourists posting away in their respective social media sites -- but it could also mean a fresher and "personal" experience described by Parsalis.

Parsalis believes that elite-class luxury vacations existing in Greece should be enriched. Citing Turkey's cruising market success, Navigation Travel & Tourist Services CEO Andreas Stylianopoulos believes Turkey's cruising market can impede on Greece's own service providers -- but not so if it is further developed. He estimates that the market's 33 million potential customers could use their average income of $50,000 to at least enjoy the leisure of cruising once and see major improvements to the market upon their return.

Greece's tourism can see immense boost from the Mediterranean Panorama exposition in Sweden on March 17-19, 2017. According to the Greek Reporter, Greece, Croatia, Malta, Portugal, Cyprus, Tunisia, Israel and Turkey's tourism will be featured but Greece takes the spotlight as the main pillar. The event in Scandinavia all Scandinavian major tour operators would supplement for the attending public.
