Victoria Beckham revealed to her family that she is about to be named in the Queen's New Year's Honour Lists or an OBE. Beckham reportedly will follow the steps of her husband, the ex-footballer David Beckham who was once an OBE in 2003.

It was known that the former "Spice Girl" was named and awarded as the UN Goodwill Ambassador in 2014. The 42-year old woman should be delighted and humbled by the recent recognition on her achievements in fashion and charity works.

Beckham's children - Brooklyn 17, Romeo 14, Cruz 11, were delighted and excited about the upcoming recognition of their mom. Meanwhile, they were enjoying water sports activities in Maldives, Daily Star reported.

In the past years, the fashion designer was focused on her fashion collections and fashion labels. She has launched her main collection in 2008, the Victoria Beckham. Her designs have always marked an impact in the fashion world, and as such for twice a year were featured in the New York Fashion Week.

According to the Telegraph, some fashion editors were skeptical with her designs but, however, Beckham has won over many women through her fashion-forward collections. She has been earning £34 million and has employed about 150 people in her office, both in London and New York.

Beckham has set to add more offering in her fashion empire this 2017. Further, the 42-year old woman also devotes more of her time through charity. She had created shirts just this December to raise funds for the World AIDS day. Beckham also made regular trips to check and perform her role being a UNAIDS Ambassador.

The soon-to-be OBE is very much honoured and humbled with the recognition and was even more proud that she will be following the footsteps of her husband in collecting OBE recognition.
