Forza Motorsport 7 seems to have been prematurely revealed by a racing wheel maker and it may eventually come out for the PC. Fanatec CEO Thomas Jackermeier requested fans to let them know what features they would like to see supported in FM7.

If another entry in the FM franchise is being developed, it shouldnt be considered a surprise. Another game in the highly successful racing franchise should in fact be expected. The last game released in the series was Forza Motorsport 6 developed by Turn 10 Studioes and published by Microsoft Studios in 2015 for the Xbox One.

The early confirmation of FM7 may have caught Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios unawares. The developer and the publisher of the Forza Motorsport series probably did not see it coming.

According to gaming website GameSpot, Fanatec CEO Thomas Jackermeier posted on the racing wheel manufacturer's forums. He asked forum members to let him know what new features they would like to see supported in FM7.

He said he had a meeting with the Turn 10 team. They were going to discuss several things they could do together for their next Forza Motorsport title.

Jackermeier later updated his post. The CEO said that he had met with Turn 10 Studios. They discussed racing wheel feature additions. He felt that it was a very positive meeting.

The post went on to mention that there was a new person from Turn 10 Studios. Jackermeier said that this person was responsible for physics and force feedback.

He continued by mentioning that the new person from Turn 10 Studios was a 'wheel guy'. The CEO revealed that this person was a real world racer with car engineering background and very familiar with PC simracing.

Entertainment website Cinema Blend reported that Fanatec specializes in expensive high performance accessories. They produce extremely high-quality, top-grade racing peripherals for racing games.

The racing wheels they make cost as much as a real racing wheel for real racing cars. Their CSL Elite Wheel is based on a real Formula One racing car. It costs nearly $575 USD.

Fanatec primarily targets the PC market. When Turn 10 expressed interest in support the PC with the next FM game, Jackermeier was unsurprisingly excited over the prospect.

The CEO wrote that the PC market seems very important for the studio. Turn 10 is aware that the PC market is dominated by wheel users.

He stated that Fanatec will intensify their cooperation and get the best out of the game for wheel users. He however couldn't confirm at that point what features could be implemented for Forza Motorsport 7 but the interest to do so was very high.
