Gunkanjima Island, Japan's Ghost Town

Gunkanjima Island or Hashima Island is the world's creepiest place on earth for its close-to-each-other structure. It is an abandoned island lying about 15 kilometers from the city of Nagasaki in Southern Japan. Walls surround the entire island. Several people call it the Battleship for it looks like a very large ship. Almost six thousand people lived there in the 1950's.

According to Bestpick, the island, rich in coal and mining, is the main livelihood of the people. When the mines were closed, the residents depart soon and the island was abandoned for almost three decades. This creepy island is a reminder of its dark history about forced labor prior to and during second world war as CNN reported.

Aokigahara Forest, Japan's Favorite Suicide Place

This creepy forest is located at the northwest base of Mount Fuji in Japan. It is creepy because it has become the second most popular suicide spot. Some locals say that is it the perfect place to die that they had to put signs such as think of your family and life is a gift.

According to Atlas, the said sea of trees had created a paranormal activity that no one can escape once inside. Japanese authorities discontinued publishing exact suicide numbers in order to avoid making the place even more popular.

San Zhi Resort, Taiwan's Dangerous Creepy Place

In 1978, Sanzhi UFO houses were constructed. It was intended as a vacation resort in the part of the northern coast in Tamsui. It was part of the deal given to US military officers stationed in nearby East Asian posting.

However, two years after, it was abandoned due to investment losses and numerous car accidents happening in front of the resort. Moreover, there are incidents of suicides that lead to mysterious and creepy events during construction.
