Japanese video game developer, Square Enix confirmed the 30th Anniversary grand opening of "Final Fantasy" next month. The ceremony on January 31, 2017, could also possibly discuss the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" on Playstation 4 and when it is going to be released.

"Final Fantasy VII Remake" retells the original story of Cloud Strife as he and eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE battle against the corrupt Shinra Mega Corporation. Fans could only hope that the release date will be announced next month during the anniversary celebration. It is also reported that Square Enix needs extra help in order to finish the development.

Kyohei Suzuki is now the new game director. Suzuki was responsible for working on "Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days" and "Kingdom Hearts Re: Code." His team is also behind the "Dissidia Final Fantasy" video games on PSP and "Final Fantasy All The Bravest."

Many fans speculate that the remake will come out as an episodic game. The remake is definitely not a small feat because the game will be released in multiple parts. Aside from the possibly of the remake's announcement, Game Rant reported that Square Enix may also release a "Final Fantasy Collection" which would include most or all of the older games in one complete package.

But now that "Final Fantasy XV" has been released just last month, which means that Square Enix's workload will be greatly reduced. Fans are hoping that the development team could now focus on doing "Final Fantasy VII Remake" so that the first part can be released hopefully after New Year.

"Final Fantasy XV" was actually released early and it was discovered that some content were omitted, leading many to assume that this is why the game came out sooner than expected. It has been a big year for Square Enix, and 2017 looks even more promising.
