The holidays are coming and we know what that means: more sweets! You can have it any time of the day. You can even be more rebellious by having them at breakfast. Get that jar of Nutella and put a generous slob on your toast. Yum! You can also use it as filling to your chocolate moist cake, put it in your pancakes, or use it to dye your hair. No I'm not kidding!

Aded & Samer salon in Dubai now offers this nutty experience to their customers. The famous hazelnut chocolate spread, Nutella, is now being used to turn blondes to brunette. The dark chocolate color of the spread actually gives off light caramel to dark tones and imparts it to the hair.

So how does the salon do it? According to Mirror, the hairdresser uses a Nutella and condensed milk concoction to achieve the desired brunette color. That sounds sugary! But it's true. First, generous amount of Nutella is applied to the hair, followed by a little drizzle of condensed milk after it. The color is locked into the hair by covering the hair with foil. After letting the hair absorb the mixture for some time, it is washed away thoroughly and presto! Brunette hair!

Most people would ask, how long does the dye actually stay on the hair? According to Refinery 29, the color can last around two to three weeks or more, depending on the hair's absorbance of the dye and the time you have let it sit on your hair. Naturally, the longer the exposure, the longer it will last.

Aside from dyeing your hair to that perfect caramel to chocolate color, using Nutella is actually good for your hair. Unlike using regular dyes that usually needs the use of oxidizers and developers which can really dry out the hair, Nutella nourishes your hair and make it shinier. This can be because of the oils that can be found in the spread's ingredients.

It can be expected that DIY-ers at home will try to mimic this technique. After all, this is a yummy experience for you and your hair.
