Ryan Lochte is already getting ready for the bundle of joy of their family. The Olympic swimmer uploaded a photo of himself kissing the stomach of his fiancée, Kayla Rae Reid, on Instagram to officially announce that the two are expecting their first child. He wrote: "My Christmas gift came early this year, can't wait for next year! Best news I've ever received #CLOUD9 #excited #family #love #2017,"

Reid also posted a similar picture on her Instagram account. "Just when you think you think you have it all figured out, life always surprises you with blessings when least expect it. So excited to share this news with all of you! #weareprego #omg #2017," she wrote.

It can be remembered that the two announced their engagement in October. Before their engagement, Lochte spoke to USA Today about their relationship. "From the very first time I met her, everything has like clicked," he said. "That's why I know I can propose to her because everything that's happened and she's been keeping me so positive. She doesn't care about my fame. She doesn't care about anything. All she cares about is me being happy."

Meanwhile, earlier this year, around August, Lochte revealed that he has another life milestone in his sights: fatherhood. The silver-haired swimmer even said that he definitely wanted a family of his own, and he loves kids. He shared that there's no doubt that it's the route he wants to take in the future.

Furthermore, Today reveals that Lochte's inspiration is none other than his teammate and sometimes-rival Michael Phelps. The pair has been competing for around 12 years, navigating numerous challenges together, but Lochte says he's seen a noticeable change in his friend. Since he became a father to Boomer. "Seeing the evolution of him...it's pretty amazing," Lochte explained. "He's definitely grown up a lot. There's no doubt in my mind he's going to be a great dad."
