The rock legend Mick Jagger has welcomed the birth of his eighth child on Dec. 8 this year. Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger has turned into a father again at 73 according to his publicist.

Since L'Wren Scott passed away in 2014, Jagger's partner for 13 years, he has been in a relationship with his current girlfriend and mother of his child, Melanie Hamrick. The 29-year-old ballerina has been with Mick Jagger for two years, and the fruit of their relationship recently came to life.

In a report by Daily Mail, Jagger traveled 3,500 miles from London to New York to be by Hamrick's side. The singer told his friends that he "needed to be there for her"courtesy of Mirror.

"Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger's son was born today in New York and they are both delighted." A source said, "Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well." The baby boy will be Jagger's eighth and is 46-years younger than his first child, Karis Hunt Jagger.

Before taking a long break for her pregnancy, according to News, Hamrick performed for the last time in June at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. Within their two-year relationship, both performers are not living under the same roof, and the child won't likely change that. As the rock legend likes their arrangement, and he doesn't want to be in a formal relationship with Hamrick.
