Have you ever heard of a food theme park? Well in October 2017, prepare yourselves for the opening of the first largest food arena worldwide, the Fico Eataly World.

Eataly restaurants are currently existing in some different countries. There are over 13 Eataly restaurants in Japan, there are 10 in Italy, and there are others in New York, Dubai, etc. Eataly is a restaurant brand that celebrates authentic Italian heritage, but Eataly World will be something the world has never seen before.

Set in a 20-acre complex in Bologna, Italy, the construction budget for this immense food arena will take about $106 million. Features in Eataly World will include 40 workshops; 108,000 square feet of orchards, pastures, and gardens; six rides; and 25 restaurants and food stalls where you can gorge yourself on Italian food as much as your heart desires, according to Conde Nast Traveler.

The Fico Eataly World team also aims to provide an enriching education and want their visitors to witness firsthand about the processes involved to make Italian food. The workshops vary from lessons like on how to make pasta to the milking of cows, in order to make gourmet cheeses.

The premiere Italian bike makers Bianchi also have a big contribution to Eataly World. The food arena will provide 500 adult-sized tricycles which Bianchi designed that can serve as the guests' service and at the same time their shopping cart. This is to help them navigate the whole area, as it is set on a 20-acre complex.

Two-and-a-half acres of the area will be reserved for the orchards and farmland inside. And according to Bloomberg, these will include about 30 kinds of natural produce, as well as five kinds of pigs, five kinds of goats, five kinds of sheep, rabbit, geese, guinea hens, and even nine kinds of cows. Sounds amazing right?

Eataly World is also planning to open a hotel inside the complex, but the tentative date for opening is still in 2018. Tiziana Primori, the CEO of Eataly World and other Eataly team members said that they expect to receive about six million tourists in a year, with about 33 and a half percent of those coming from the international sector.

So mark your calendars, Italian foodies. We still have to wait very long for the opening of this gigantic Italian food park, but I'm sure that we all know that our patience will definitely pay off.
