Rapper Kanye West has reportedly been feeling paranoid and depressed as he recovers at the UCLA Medical Center where he was initially hospitalized due to dehydration and sleep deprivation. Sources close to the 39-year old rap star say that he has been "dealing with these issues for a long time".

A report from TMZ revealed that West's paranoia had become increasingly worse when he was admitted at the hospital earlier last week and that he was completely convinced that there are people out there who were out to get him, including his own doctors.

This latest update on West comes a few days after he cancelled the remaining 21 scheduled concerts of his Saint Pablo tour in the U.S. West made the announcement two days after he abruptly ended his concert at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento where he performed only four songs and went on a verbal rant attacking his peers and other celebrities, including Lebron James, Hillary Clinton, and fellow rapper Jay-Z.

However, his wife Kim Kardashian-West hopes that her husband will be able to come back home where supervised care will be given by his personal doctor. Kim was at Kanye's side on Thanksgiving Day, with People reporting that the 35-year-old reality star stayed with him for several hours. Sources close to the couple say that the rapper has been making some progress and is starting to feel like himself again, and he understands how important it is for him to get some rest and help. After her visit, Kim went to her sister Kylie Jenner's house in Calabasas, where she celebrated the holiday with her family.

Kanye was at the home of his trainer Harley Pasternak on November 21st when he started to behave erratically. A call was made at around 1:20pm following a disturbance. West was later escorted to the UCLA Medical Center where he was admitted at will under the advice of a doctor.
