A self-confessed Manny Pacquiao fan, US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton gave a word of encouragement to the boxing champion. When informed in an interview about Pacquiao's match against WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas, Clinton told ABS-CBN, "Oh he's fighting again? Oh well, I wish him well in his fight,"

Clinton herself is also engaged in a tussle, but in terms of the political arena against Republican candidate Donald Trump in the US presidential elections. Earlier this week, Pacquiao was asked about his preference between Clinton and Trump, although Pacquiao's fight promoter, Bob Arum, has openly supported Clinton.

"It is up to you Americans to decide (who to vote for)," said Pacquiao. Moreover, Clinton, who once admitted being a big fan of the boxer, said, "Of course, the Pacman is going to win...Is there any doubt?" She gave this statement at a forum in a Manila university in 2009, when asked about Pacquiao's then-scheduled fight against Miguel Cotto.

Back in 2011, the former US secretary of state applauded Pacquiao for pulling off a close decision win over Juan Miguel Marquez in their third fight, Philstar reported. "We know that Pacman had another great victory. I am a major Pacman fan and in the spirit of his sport and his success, let me say that the United States will always be in the corner of the Philippines," Clinton said.

However, this time, the Democratic presidential nominee did not say she's rooting for Pacquiao, probably because Vargas is an American. For Clinton, wishing Pacquiao good luck will do. According to ABS-CBN, the fight will air live, commercial free and in high definition in the Philippines on November 6, 9 a.m. on Sky Sports Pay-Per-View. As for the Middle East, the fight will be shown on November 6 at 4 a.m. in KSA and 5 a.m. in Dubai, live and with replays via TFC.tv. It will also be available via OSN, ELife and Mozaic TV powered by Ooredoo. Furthermore, in the US, it will be seen on November 5 live, distributed by Top Rank PPV.
