Briton's are flying to more dry and beach destinations this rainy season leaving and budget carriers like easyJet is making most out of it.

Sales figures have increased the past three months.The second-largest low-cost carrier of Europe is giving tough competition to its rival airline Ryanair. easyJet announced on Wednesday that revenue for this quarter of the financial year has already been raised for about 1.03 billion pounds.

The rise in the revenue is a result of more demand to beach destinations routes since Britain is experiencing its most stretched wet season ever. Destinations like Malaga and Alicante in Spain and Faro in Portugal have already reached a growth of 20 percent during the poor weather period said EasyJet EZJ.J, the largest carrier at London's Gatwick airport.

Easyjet has also increased the number of flights between top destinations in the past few months; thanks to lower fuel prices and full-year forecast of pretax profit in a range of 280 million pounds ($440 million) to 300 million pounds ($471 million), ahead of analysts' average forecasts of 272 million pounds ($427 million).

Analyst Gerald Khoo at Espirito Santo said the fore-casted projection will lead the company growth to a good eight percent.

"We continue to view easyJet as a long-term winner in the European airline industry, and despite the tough trading environment current trading appears encouraging," he said.

Last month easyJet said that it planned to cut flights to and from Madrid by 20 percent and would no longer operate their service following next year after the destination delivered the lowest returns among all its bases.

"EasyJet has seen a fall in demand for flights touching London during the Olympic period, both from inbound business travellers and outbound leisure travelers, but forward bookings show a recovery once the games have concluded," McCall told reporters.

The carrier announced that around three quarters of summer seats were now booked, which is much higher in comparison to last year's numbers around this time.
