Post wedding bliss is beautiful thing, especially when it's spent on a romantic honeymoon in one of the world's most idyllic destinations. From the breathtaking islands of Hawaii to the city known for it's beguiling romance, Florence-U.S. News Travel has ranked the best honeymoon spots.

Here are their top five:

1) Kauai, Hawaii

Seclude villas and picturesque beaches make this tropical destination ideal for a little relaxation and romance. Take energizing hikes through the Na Pali Coast or wile the day away on one of their white sand beaches.

2) Maui, Hawaii

Maui is beautiful, like it's sister island Kauai. With a host of outdoor activities from hiking the Wainapapanapa State Park and the jungle-like Road to Hana, or lazying and sipping mai tais on one of it's beaches--it's an ideal honeymoon spot.

3) Florence, Italy

In Italy, flirting is a pastime and romance is an integral part of its culture from the fine wines to the historic renaissance art and architecture. Florence, is a small, charming city known for its heavenly food, cobble stoned streets and plethora of cultural attractions. Days could be spent exploring the Uffizi, the Duomo and the Boboli Gardens but you can easily spend a day relaxing at a street-side café sipping cappuccinos or bottles of wine while watching passersby.

4) Crete, Greece

The stunning Greek island of Crete has everything from vibrant cuisine, lovely beaches and spas as well as jungle trecks for the honeymooner with a penchant for adventure.

5) Santorini, Greece

This Greek island may possibly have the most spectacular sunsets in the world. The ragged cliffs are covered with postcard-like white washed houses and overlooks the deep-blue Aegian sea.
