The pilot episode of "The Walking Dead Season 7" was too violent to watch, according to the Parents Television Council.

TIME reported that council president Tim Winter said, "Last night's season premiere of 'The Walking Dead' was one of the most graphically violent shows we've ever seen on television, comparable to the most violent of programs found on premium cable networks.

"It's not enough to 'change the channel,' as some people like to advocate, because cable subscribers - regardless of whether they want AMC or watch its programming - are still forced to subsidize violent content. This brutally-explicit show is a powerful demonstration of why families should have greater control over the TV networks they purchase from their cable and satellite providers."

The two characters from the series was brutally killed with baseball bat wrapped in razor-wire. Glenn, played by Steven Yeun and Abraham, played by Michael Cudlitz, were both beaten to death by Negan.

Meanwhile, Steven Yeun reacted to his character's death. According to Yahoo, Yeun had some surprising feelings about this.

He said on the live aftershow, "You read that comic, you kind of don't want that to go to anyone else. It's such an iconic moment and I think I even said, 'Don't give that to anybody else.'

"It's such a gnarly thing to say but sincerely, living that out was very wild but at the same time, that moment happening and being realized on television in a different medium and to do it in the way that we did it I think is brave and at the same time super affecting. And for me, that was the motivation to be like, 'Yeah, that sounds great.'"

Yeun also concluded that his character died in a very Glenn way.

"Still not thinking about himself. It's appropriate that he ends there, and it's also appropriate that he kind of puts those last words out there as a final 'look out for each other.'"
