The full trailer of "Logan" has been released by 20th Fox Century UK. The movie is starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Stephen Merchant.

"Logan" is the third in the series of Wolverine films, preceded by X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009, and The Wolverine in 2013, The Guardian wrote.

The clip centers on Professor X asking Logan to protect a young mutant named Laura, while a background music of Johnny Cash's version of Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt" plays out.

According to Independent, "Logan" trailer is Rated 15 by the British Board of Film Classification due to the bloody content in the film.

Furthermore, mutant Caliban's first photo was already released. The character is played by Stephen Merchant.

Caliban appears to be wearing a hood in the trailer. Moreover, the character was highlighted in "X-Men: Apocalypse", played by Tomas Lemarquis.

Fans are quite unsure how these two are related. It is not even clear where Logan fits in the timeline of X-Men.

Details on other characters have been also confirmed. Boyd Holbrook will play the role of Donald Pierce.

The character is said to be "the head of security for a global corporation known as Transigen, who are turning baby mutants into 'killing machines'."

Actor Richard E. Grant will play the role of Dr. Zander Rice, a Transigen employee, whose father was part of the original 'Weapon X' project that helped create Wolverine.

Meanwhile, Hugh Jackman had a recent interview, in which he said something about the film.

"Basically, it's going to be different. Very different in tone and hopefully to anything we've done."

Director James Mangold has added, "If you're on the make for a hyper-choreographed, gravity defying, city-block destroying CG f**kathon, this ain't your movie."

"In this flick, people get hurt or killed when shit falls on them. They will get just as hurt or just as killed if they get hit with something big and heavy, like, say, a car. Should anyone in our story have the misfortune to fall off a roof or out a window, they won't bounce. They will die."

"Logan" will hit the theaters on March 3, 2017.
