Marvel already released the first teaser trailer of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2. Upon viewing the video, it looks like the stars are back, namely: Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), and even Tiny Groot (Vin Diesel).

However, it's difficult to predict something about the plot through the teaser. It only featured Gamora with her deadly blades, running and jumping through the air. On the other hand, her half-sister Nebula (Karen Gillan) is spotted with what seems like a new headwear. Also, Yondu (Michael Rooker) is sporting a cool red mohawk, as a lot of blue-faced aliens are flying through the air.

It's also obvious that the film's distinctive soundtrack will remain. According to The Verge, the teaser made Blue Suede's "Hooked on a Feeling" as the background music. The song was one of those 1970s hits on Peter Quill's mix-tape.

Going back, it's a known fact that the first Guardians of the Galaxy was a hit in 2014. It earned $770 million worldwide, despite its C-list comic book title, and unrecognizable stars. That time, Pratt wasn't really known to the public, and the movie's two biggest stars, Cooper and Diesel, were just voice actors of CGI creations. The movie's success proved how Marvel can create something out of nothing, incorporating its humor and image as a hit-maker.

The first movie ended with Groot being reborn as a baby 'tree'. Gamespot shares that Vin Diesel, who was Groot's voice actor, will return to voice the character again. "Vin is an actor and capable of doing many voices," director James Gunn previously explained. "His Carol Channing is famous in Hollywood."

Diesel also revealed that some members of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2  will also appear in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War.

Meanwhile, the Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 will also be directed by Gunn and debuts in theaters on May 5, 2017.
