"The Walking Dead" and "Fear the Walking Dead" is reported to have a crossover and executive producer Robert Kirkmam recently said that said crossover between the two AMC series is "completely possible" but "crazy."

During the recent Hawaii Comic Con, a fan asked Kirkman about the crossover. At first, he sounded like this will never happen but he later on pointed out that since the two shows are in one universe, the mash up may be possible.

"We're already on season 7 and this one's on season 2 and that would be crazy," Kirkman said, according to Comic Book. "[But] as far as if those characters will ever encounter each other, I mean, they're in the same universe so it's completely possible. [However,] geographically, they're nowhere near each other so it would be somewhat farfetched if group A were to somehow encounter group B unless over the course of many, many, many, many seasons somehow it made sense."

But showrunner of "Fear the Walking Dead," Dave Erickson said that crossover will not happen because "the chronology is so far apart, and there’s a continent between them,” according to CinemaBlend.

Meanwhile, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd has previously implied that they are wary about having a crossover between the shows, unlike most networks that would do it to increase ratings. She said that they are more focused on caring for the characters and not to "contort them so that they'll fit into a plot line that simply isn't logical."

Hurd added that what helped "The Walking Dead" move to its sixth season is because how everyone cared about the characters like Daryl Dixon played by Norman Reedus, Glenn Rhee of Steven Yeun and Rick Grimes played by Andrew Lincoln.

She said that fans knows that what they expect to happen in the show doesn't happen or will happen with a twist and this is something that will also be applied to "Fear the Walking Dead," Deadline reported.
