Yesterday was Dragon Quest's 30th anniversary. The sensational game has been a big hit in Japan, and has a loyal followers all over the world. Dragon Quest is scheduled for a 2016 release and has three upcoming releases in the making. Two of these upcoming releases have already been released in Japan.

Dragon Quest is otherwise known as the Dragon Warrior to American players, as reported in Playstationlife.net. Dragon Quest has had its initial release on Nintendo systems. Dragon Quest has initially planned to work with Nintendo's home consoles, just until 1999's Torneko: The Last Hope came along.

Torneko: The Last Hope is a game that features a dungeon crawling in a spin-off that features the merchant coming from the RPG's fourth entry appearance. Playstation has been the game's main home station until 2006. Playstation and Torneko parted ways that year when Nintendo DS dominated in more popularity in Japan's game series.

More than 10 releases have become available for the Dragon Quest in Sony platforms in the recent 30 years. Word has it also that additional versions of the releases are planned for releases, as also reported by the Playstationlife.net.

Meanwhile, Dragon Quest Builders is a game that have similarities to Minecraft. Dragon Quest Builders have the theme of Dragon Quest. Dragon Quest Builders is also allegedly coming to North America soon, as reported in Theverge.com.

According to Today Square Enix, though, Dragon Quest Builders would have its release in North America in October. When Dragon Quest Builders is released in North America, it will be available in Playstation 4 and PS Vita. However, the handy form of the game would be only available in digital form. 

Square Enix community manager, Dan Seto, shares the real theme of the Dragon Quest Builders, as reported in Gamespot.com. Seto said:

"The story of Dragon Quest Builders actually follows a 'what if' story following the original Dragon Quest."
