"Outlander" Season 2 Episode 8 spoilers reveal that Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) will reconcile and will have a new life after the emotional turmoil of their baby's death from the previous episode while Jamie was still in jail.

The couple is happy together as they share a tender kiss after they return to their home in Lallybroch, Scotland with Fergus (Romann Berrux) and Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix). Claire will use her knowledge of the future to prepare the Fraser clan for the coming rough years that may occur after the disastrous Jacobite rebellions.

Claire will teach Jamie's sister Jenny (Laura Donnelly), her husband Ian (Steven Cree), as well as the farmers of Lallybroch to plant potatoes. The Frasers will have a good harvest and Jenny is very happy, telling Claire that she was right about planting the potatoes.

In one scene, they discussed different ways to cook potatoes. Jamie is surprised that Claire can cook but Claire said she isn't sure about cooking but is certain about merely boiling them.

The next episode shows how happy the couple is than we've last seen them which is very nice to look at. But EOnline noted that their happiness may not last long because of the impending, unavoidable battle at Culloden.

Jamie's grandfather, Lord Lovat (Clive Russell) will also be introduced in the next episode. The character's real name is Simon Fraser but he is also known as Old Fox. Vulture gives us an image of how Lord Lovat looks like. It also said that he is the chief of the clan Fraser of Lovat, who "kidnapped and forcefully married the former Amelia Murray, only daughter of the First Marquess of Atholl, in front of a drunken minister."

A preview clip of “Outlander” Season 2 episode 8 shows Jamie meeting Lord Lovat but Jenny doesn't like it, TV Line noted. Jamie will try to dissuade his grandfather from sending help to the Jacobite Rebellion and he will discover that his grandfather is after Lallybroch. The Old Fox will also enrage the Frasers after revealing that he will give up his plans.
