Cruising is taken to another level as Disney Cruise Line incorporates the "legendary saga and its characters" on one of its four themed ships, Disney Fantasy. Guests can relax with Darth Vader, Chewbacca and other characters in a 'Star Wars'-themed cruise.

'Star Wars Day at Sea combines the power of the Force and the magic of Disney for an out-of-galaxy experience unlike any other,' the company explains'You'll be transported to 'a galaxy far, far away' in the Western Caribbean for an entire day of fun.'

Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, stormtroopers and other characters from across the 'Star Wars' galaxy will be on board for scheduled meet and greets, as well as roaming on deck and elsewhere around the ship. Guests also are encouraged to dress up in their own stellar costumes.

There is also a 'shipboard version of the Jedi Training Academy where Jedi hopefuls can learn lightsaber maneuvers' and 'out-of-this-world-food.' There will also be screenings of the 'Star Wars' films including the only sea screening of Episode VII. Guest speakers will also be on board to share stories and behind-the-scenes information on the films.

For younglings, 'Star Wars'-themed arts and crafts, games and activities will be offered throughout the day in Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab youth clubs. In the evening, adults entering the night club will feel like they stepped into the Mos Eisley cantina scene. Characters and cantina music set the mood as 'Star Wars'-themed specialty cocktails are served.

The day will end on deck for a celebration of the 'Star Wars' saga where there will be a display of themed pyrotechnics, lighting, sound effects, lasers and all things 'Star Wars.'

The recently released 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' has been a record-busting film for Disney, bringing its domestic total to more than US$742.2 million (AU$1.029 billion).
