People all over the world were baffled when a video that went viral showed a refugee carrying his 7-year-old son being tripped by Petra Laszlo, a camerawoman covering the migrant crisis

With all the support flooding in, Osama Abdul Mohsen was reported to have arrived last Wednesday in Spain with his two sons, The New York Times (NY Times) reports. Mohsen was also offered a coaching job by Spain's National Soccer Coach Training Centre. 

The journey of Mohsen and his kids, from the time they arrived in Barcelona to their arrival in Madrid after midnight - was broadcasted live via a Spanish television. They were accompanied by a Cenafe student who speaks Arabic and a reporter from El Mundo, a Spanish newspaper. 

According to NY Times, it was Miguel Ángel Galán, the school director, who arranged to take Mohsen and his sons to Spain using the school's advertising budget to fund for Mohsen's apartment rental in one of Madrid's suburbs - Getafe. The school director said that the school felt very bad upon seeing the published story of Mohsen. 

He also added that the organization will offer Mohsen a job once he learns how to speak Spanish. Galán believes that we need to help these people and he hopes that the school's gesture will serve as an example for the rest of Europe.

International Business Times shares that Mohsen was a former football coach in Syria. In an interview with Spanish newspaper El Mundo during his train ride [from Germany], Mohsen said he is very happy to have received the call from Galán. He also expressed that he hopes to see a future in Spain not only for him but also for his family. His two children and his wife are still in Turkey. Mohsen said he wants to see his family united before starting any official work.

According to reports from The Washington Post, Spain has committed to accept and welcome 17,680 refugees.
