Amanda Bynes  got back on Twitter  Monday after a near three-month hiatus. The first thing she shared on the micro-blogging site is what appears to be a hand-sketched selfie. The Amanda Bynes self-portrait drawing came just one month after reports that the "Easy A" is doing much better.

Last year, the Twitter rants of the 28-year-old have caused much concern, especially as they went along with her very public battle with mental illness.

The Amanda Bynes self-portrait sketch is her first post since Jan. 13.

Amanda Bynes captioned the Monday drawing with: "Hey my loves! Here's a drawing I did! ily :D"

During the same time last year, Amanda Bynes reportedly shared a similar sketch on social media, which is another possible self-portrait. Simultaneously, she squashed rumors of a phony Twitter account.

Along with Amanda Bynes' Twitter outbursts, her troubling behavior towards the end of 2014 caused people to worry about her well-being, reported the Daily Mail.

From reports of shoplifting, scratching a woman inside a nightclub, to being kicked out of John F Kennedy Airport, Amanda Bynes acted out of character in New York from late October through November 2014.

Apart from those, Amanda Bynes also accused her father on Twitter of molesting her and on another occasion made racist remarks towards Rihanna. Later however, the former Nickelodeon star apologized for the remarks.

Since 2013, she has had several stints in mental health units, treated for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Her most recently stint wasat a unit in Pasadena, and now the "Hairspray" actress appears to be back on track.

"Amanda is doing much better from where she was months ago. She has her own apartment and is much happier," according to a source as told to PEOPLE in February.

The source added that Amanda Bynes is now living away from her parents - mother Lynn and father Rick - who she threatened to kill back in November.

"She and her parents are getting along and Amanda is clear-headed, more focused and has more independence," said the insider.

The actress now remains under temporary conservatorship of her parents. However, Amanda Bynes is still scheduled for a court hearing on Jun. 23 for the assessment of her condition, according to People.

Since filing court documents in July 2013 because of apparent signs of schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder, Amanda Bynes' parents still have the decision-making authority over her finances and medical needs.

Amanda Bynes' family lawyer, David Esquibias, meanwhile has released a similar update after attending a closed discussion in the judge's chambers in Ventura County, Calif.

"Amanda is doing well,' he shared. 'I am glad the arrangement is continuing. The legal process is working in Amanda's favour," he said.
