Castle season 7 episode 17 is going to bring a lot on the plate for fans who want to see more of Richard and Kate's romance. Following the dramatic events in the previous episodes, viewers will surely want to know more what's in store for Rick and Kate. However, the show is currently on hiatus and the all-new episode is put on hold until March 16.

Previously on Castle, Kate and Richard engaged into an out-of-this-world mission when they investigated the murder mystery involving an astronaut. The astronaut was killed during a Mars simulation and as they worked their way in solving the case they realized that the simulation area was sealed which only meant that the murder was committed inside of it. After last week's episode, Castle is having its 3-week hiatus. But when the show returns a new cast member is going to be introduced.

When Castle returns with season 7 episode 17 airs, Kate will finally meet her match in the person of the new cast member, who is fresh from Hong Kong. The new team member is apparently Richard's new partner and just like Kate, she is brave, beautiful and intelligent. Based on the spoilers on the upcoming episode, Beckett will feel a little jealous when Rick admits that his new partner is gorgeous.

Show executive producer David Amann recently spoke to TV Guide on what's to come for Kate and Richard and he happily shared that there could be an upcoming bun in the oven. "She's been driven for the better part of her adult life by the death of her mother, which is now resolved. Her relationship with Castle is settled, so she's at a place now where she really needs to be thinking about, 'What does she want that future to be?' It seems like children are going to naturally be a part of that discussion," Amann said.

The official synopsis for Castle season 7 episode 17 reads: "Kate Beckett has it all. The husband, the job, the hair. But in three weeks, Kate meets her match. This is not going to be pretty."
