The Disneyland fire which recently occurred took place at the iconic "It's A Small World" attraction late Saturday, KTLA reports. The Disneyland fire eventually forced the park to close down the ride.

The recent Disneyland fire at the "It's A Small World" ride was fortunately extinguished quickly. However, social media had already spread word of the blaze, making it appear bigger than it really is, according to the Orange County Register.

The small Disneyland fire reportedly broke out about 9:19 p.m. in a tree near the park's behind-the-scenes staging area, according to a spokeswoman for the park as told to KTLA. As the tree became engulfed in flames, the blaze created smoke and flames that caught the eye of many visitors.

The Disneyland fire was knocked down about 30 minutes after it occurred, according to Fox 31 Denver.

Photos and videos of the Disneyland fire snapped by the park's visitors may have appeared terrifying. However, according to police, no one was injured and the "It's a Small World" ride had not been damaged.

On Saturday, reaction on social media was of fright, but on Sunday, the public was already making jokes over the incident.

Instagram user @dylan.smith.1998 posted a picture of text around 10 a.m. Sunday and said: "Small world is on fire? Oh, My, God. This is scary." To which user @itsasmallworldclocktower responded: "At least everyone is ok."

Sarah Angela, a student of Boise State University, who uses the Twitter handle @_SarahMoff_, tweeted about the Disneyland fire 4 p.m. Sunday.

"About to drop my mixtape on 'It's a Small World.' Hope this one doesn't catch on fire," she joked.

A Stephie, or Twitter user @tigrrr13, from Southern California, tweeted: "Oh man, good thing the ride wasn't damaged."

Twitter user @navidsword, who appeared to have missed @tigrrr13's memo tweeted: "#itsasmallworld seems to have gotten even smaller. Sorry @disneyland hope it's fixable"

Grant Markin, a Twitter user from Los Angeles, who goes by the handle @Gmarkin, seemed upset with the Disneyland attraction and said: "Headline: It's A Small World almost burns down but fire is extinguished. Millions upset with the firefighters," he tweeted Sunday afternoon.

Cody McCracken using the hanbdle @codyrockz shared the same sentiment Saturday night and tweeted: "the plus side is it's going to be an even smaller world now."

Meanwhile, a Joanne Mora, or Twitter user @JojoMora, expressed fear for the ride's fate late Saturday.

"Oh no!! that's my favorite ride!!," she wrote.

Another Twitter user by the handle @MyDisneyOdyssey had also been fearful and said, "So far I heard it was a tree next to #Itsasmallworld that caught on fire. I'm very glad no one got hurt."

According to Lt. Bob Dunn with the Anaheim Fire Department, the Disneyland fire at the "It's A Small World" ride was handled by Disney personnel.

The attraction was closed while firefighters investigated the recent Disneyland fire.

According to investigators, the fireworks show which was part of the theme park's nightly parade may have played a part in the fire, reported People.

The Disneyland fire may have caused some havoc over social media, but according to the Disneyland spokesperson, the "It's A Small World" attraction reopened later during the night.
