Spring Break Destinations In The US - With vacation looming on the horizon, it only means "Spring Break" for some college kids. While not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouth, it doesn't mean they can't have the fun some of the rich kids in the neighbourhood get. Here are the supposed "cheapest" Spring Break destinations - and some of the trashiest to steer clear of.

According to My News 13, one of the cheapest spring break destinations in the US is none other than Daytona Beach. The said destination gives students a cost-effective option for a week away in the boring four walls of a classroom.

"We kind of researched around Florida and we found Daytona was the cheapest, so we decided to come here," shared Maddie Huggen.

While some students agree to the ranking of Daytona Beach as one of the cheapest spring break destinations in the US, business owners in the area are not too pleased. Paul Politis of Gator Beach & Sports claims the word has placed a "wrong label" on the area.

"I don't think I'm happy being called the Walmart of tourist destinations," says Politis.

Other than Daytona Beach being one of the most affordable spring break destinations in the US, Cocoa Beach in Florida is also making waves among the college community. While the action isn't as close to "Girls Gone Wild," it has been the highly sought out place for people aged 18 to 24. Those above the age of 25 however have sought out other places than Cocoa Beach.

Apart from the cheapest spring break destinations in the US, spring breakers must be wary of the trashiest places as well. In a report by Huffington Post, Breckenridge in Colorado made it to the number 20 spot. With recreational marijuana legalized in Colorado, it's obvious spring break would be more rowdy than usual.
